Although I have done a couple new things today, I spent a majority of this Wednesday doing the same things I do every Wednesday. I woke up late, got ready super fast, met Jordan at Wisco, taught twelve band lessons, ate some food and subsequently felt ill, answered emails, crossed one more day off the calendar countdown to the relase of HP7.2 and Lego HP Years 5-7, made dinner and attended band rehearsal. I contemplated what I should write in the blog tonight on the way home from band and I decided on the following:
1) I made Chicken with Herb Tomatoe Pan Sauce--a recipe from my beloved food blog http://annies-eats.com. Here is the link: Chicken and Tomato Herb Pan Sauce
It was quick to make and I think it was delicious. I am only uncertain as to its deliciousness because I waited so long to start making it that I basically had to inhale it so I could leave for rehearsal on time. It didn't make me sick, which already make it 100 times better than the sub I tried to eat for lunch. Perhaps I will update you on its tastiness tomorrow, when I plan to give it another, less frantic go.
2) I drove around in a snow storm today. I don't really recall having to do that this early in the year before...but I was forced to do so today. It wasn't that terrible really--just cold, snowy and slightly unpleasant.
NANOWRIMOUPDA: I'm about 7500 words behind on my word count which sounds pretty terrible. What makes if even worse is that I'm currently at 7100 words. I realized that it's pretty upsetting when you're behind more than double of what you already have. I better finish this up and get writing. The story, though, is going well despite having to kill off a character I was slightly fond of. Oh well, these things happen.
ANGELA'S CORNER of SELF-DISCOVERY:
I'm not the only front-row dwelling clarinetist that has problems paying attention in rehearsals. I have often experienced the burst of panic when the conductor gives us the downbeat and I have no idea what piece we're on. It's not that I'm being disrespectful or chatty--I'm just thinking about other things or looking over a tricky spot in the piece we just finished. Well, tonight at rehearsal this happened a couple times to the entire front row of clarinets (all four of us). It is good to discover you're not the only whose mind wanders from time to time...even when you're in the middle of doing something you love.
