The Sense of Achievement

Remember awhile ago when I posted pictures of a logo I was designing for a fundraising dinner for our Hispanic Ministry?  Well, the event took place last night and it was awesome.  First of all, this was the first fundraising type dinner thing that I have ever attended.  It's strange to finally be old enough and in a position where I can afford to donate money to important causes.

Second, this is the first time I've ever experienced a whole bunch of my personal design work in its final completed form in front of a large paying audience.  It may seem minor to some, but it was cool to see my logo large and in charge on the projector screen, small and delicate in the corner of the program and hear it's message in the speaker's stories.  I also heard people commenting on the unique fonts I chose for the place cards (Dr. Braun and my music theory class would be proud of my continued font shenanigans).

The best part of the evening, though, was hearing of the successes of the Hispanic Ministry and the lives it is touching.  It was moving to see how the Holy Spirit is working through the staff, teachers, pastors and students to spread His word.  The night was a success and will hopefully allow us to continue making a difference in the community and the lives of the people that live there!

The actual final logo that was used...for everything!
