The Pale Ale of India

I must admit that I have lost some blogging momentum.  I'm not going to make excuses or promise to be better...but I'm certainly going to try to be better.

Anyway, here we go.  The other day my dad came over for popcorn, good conversation and a beer.  Since the only beer we had was a stray Milwaukee's Best left by who-knows-who, we desperately needed to pick up some quality libations.  My dad likes IPAs and I have never had one.  Our friendly neighborhood liquor store clerk suggested Lakefront Brewery's IPA.  It has this eye-catching, green/yellow logo (pun definitely intended).

Overall, I didn't really like it.  I could stand drinking it as long as I was eating something but ended up dumping the rest when the food ran out.  I was told I shouldn't drink it with food since that covers the strong, spicy flavor but that was the only way it was getting consumed.  I am now saving the remaining three bottles for the next time my dad visits.  I think I'll sick to Newcastle, Smithwicks and Killians.
