The Morning with Sisters...and Ben

On this day, the one-month anniversary since my last blog post, I thought I would share with you the experience I had with my sisters...and Ben...last week Friday.  My dear sister Becky was visiting from Alaska with her husband, Jason. I hadn't seen her in over a year and was more than happy to take the morning off to spend with her. Stephanie, of course, joined us and the four of us--after sleeping in until 11am to make up for staying up until 3am--headed over to the Milwaukee Public Market for lunch and shopping. Jason spent the time with some college friends so he missed out on our adventures.

Anyway, though I've been to the Public Market twice, none of the others ever had. We began by taking two trips around the entire perimeter, carefully surveying all the possible lunch options.  We were all distracted by the amazing bakery items, candy, coffee, cheeses, lobsters, oysters, wine, and Milwaukee themed t-shirts; but we eventually were able to make a decision on what we would consume for lunch.  Ben had the most impressive meatball sandwich I've ever seen, Becky selected the Egg Salad Sandwich Deluxe (deluxe = cheese and bacon), Stephanie had some sort of mouth-watering wrap in a green tortilla, and I had the meatloaf sandwich...which was smothered in cheese...which was awesome!

Even though we were all pretty full from lunch, we had to get dessert. Becky and Stephanie decided on cake pops...which was the first time Becky had ever ate one. She took one bite, smiled and said, "It's like dough." Then she took two more bites and it was gone.  Ben and I settle for two Loreos. They were oreos, but homemade. I suspect they're called Loreos for copyright reasons.

Since the cars were parked and we had 45 minutes till we had to go our separate ways, Stephanie and I dragged the other two over to Antropologie.  This was the first time any of us had ever been to this legendary boutique...but I think Ben will be going back (I'm being sarcastic ;-)  I really liked the store! The clothes were really pretty...expensive, but pretty. We tried on a couple things, Ben surfed the net from a comfy couch he found, and Stephanie and I both bought a dress.  I also bought a belt...but more on that later.

All in all, it was a good day of firsts for us all:
- I spent time with two of my sisters together for the first time in over a year
- Becky, Ben and Steph visited the Public Market for the first time
- We visited and purchased merchandise from Anthropologie
- I had my first lesson with a super fun adult tenor sax student
- And I had my first migraine...while performing a concert...but that's a story for another day

**Thanks to my sister, Becky, for the photos!
